HOUSTON (Oct. 8) – Cal Dive International (CDI) has developed a modular, portable saturation diving system that is ready for immediate deployment.
CDI’s portable saturation diving system has a truckable, bolt-on A-frame for ease of transportation and installation. The system also has a stackable, containerized and fully equipped environmental control unit (ECU) van and workshop. The two-man bring out feature with ECU and manifold enhances the operational flexibility of the system.
The system’s 100-foot modular umbilicals provide optional deck layouts beyond the usual footprint.
Additionally, a gas and mix master blending system provides significant cost savings and the diver helmet and deck-mounted cameras further enhance the system’s workability. A full crew, which includes an offshore superintendent, supervisors, saturation technicians, rack operators, divers and tenders, is available.
Other features include side- or straight-launch capability, a spare ECU, a pinger bell locating system, bell O2 injection, hyperbaric fire extinguisher, a 1,200-foot Perry two-man bell with 1,100-foot umbilical and through-water communications.
CDI is a leading provider of innovative offshore construction, maintenance and decommissioning services to the oil and gas industry.
